Arjen de Jong (52) has been appointed as Managing Director of Van Kempen Koudetechniek with effect from January 1. With a history of 75 years, Van Kempen has grown into a leading manufacturer of cooling systems for the agricultural sector, industry and non-residential construction. Van Kempen has 125 employees and realizes projects at leading companies such as Aartsen, De Groot, Euro Frigo, Lidl, Royal Flora Holland and The Greenery. Since 2020, the company has been part of technical service provider Unica.
More than 15 years of experience as managing director
After obtaining his degree in Business Administration from Eindhoven University of Technology, Arjen de Jong has gained extensive experience over the past 15 years as a general manager at distinctive companies in the wholesale and manufacturing industry in a high-tech environment. Since 2008, he has been general manager at EWS in Geldrop (2008-2013), Axxicon in Son (2013-2021) and from 2021-2022 of CoreDux in Tilburg.
Spearheads
With his experience and expertise, Arjen will mainly focus on expanding the customer portfolio at Van Kempen, on the development and market introduction of new solutions and maintaining the lead in quality and technology. Arjen succeeds Jan Vliet van Zante, who, after a career of 40 years at Van Kempen, including as managing director since 2008, has decided to phase out his business activities.
